Children's Minister

Jayelyn Boynton

Jayelyn Boynton joined the FBC Salado staff in 2018. With a background and gifts in elementary education, communication, and teaching, Jayelyn has brought a new spark to the staff and ministry. She is also incredibly gifted in organization, planning, and leadership. As an educator, she served as lead teacher at her school, was a training-mentor for brand new teachers, and was asked to be an instructional-leader for other educators District-wide. In ministry, she has served in preschool & children’s programs in the local church, coordinated an array of children’s activities & events, developed curriculum & Bible studies, worked closely with parents & adult volunteers, and has participated in mission efforts around the globe. Jayelyn grew up in a childrens’ minister’s home with that prevailing influence in her life and (as she says) enjoyed the impact and relationships that we built with the families we served.”

A graduate of Midlothian High School, Jayelyn earned a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor. Jayelyn is married to husband Brett (also a UMHB grad) and the two are expecting their first child in December (a girl!)

When it comes to hobbies, Jayelyn has many, including:  Shopping, watching Football & Baseball, enjoying Baking, and Talking ("I have many words," she says!)
